Google Project Zero reveals a serious vulnerability in Apple phones

An expert in the Google Project Zero security initiative revealed that the Apple iPhone has been for a long time the target of a very dangerous security vulnerability, which causes hackers to gain complete control of the iPhone remotely and without any direct intervention.

The vulnerability was discovered by security researcher Ian Beer from the Google Security Initiative Google Project Zero, and Apple was informed about it, and it is now fortunately not activated, and therefore the danger has become a thing of the past, but one of the details of this vulnerability is that it gives hackers the ability to infiltrate a phone. The user's iPhone without any programs or pushing the user himself to click any links, as it is enough for the victim to be with the hacker on the same Wi-Fi network.

The discovered vulnerability in the iOS system is present in Apple's wireless protocol that was exploited to create interconnected networks to allow Airdrop to work, which allowed hackers to access and control an iPhone remotely, as well as access to its resources, such as the ability to use the camera and microSD to record and access conversations And user-specific information, such as emails, SMS messages, photos, videos, etc., and the hacker only needs a Raspberry Pi device and Wi-Fi adapters.

Although Apple did not officially disclose this vulnerability, Google Project Zero indicated that the company was informed of the details of the vulnerability months ago, and Apple actually closed the loophole last May by updating iOS 13.5.
