Samsung has decided to close down the Galaxy Z Flip factory due to the appearance of the Coronavirus

The Korean giant has taken a decision to shut down its industrial facility to produce the Galaxy Z Flip phone in Gumi, South Korea, after a recent case of Coronavirus patients was detected in the factory.

Samsung has indicated that it decided to temporarily shut down the industrial facility until Monday, February 25, until the company ends quarantine procedures for some employees who have contracted directly with the case already infected with the Coronavirus.

The Korean giant relies on the company's factories in Vietnam and India to cover most of the company's production mainly, but the company also has industrial facilities in the Korean market, among them the Gumi industrial facility that is decided to close recently, which specializes in the production of Galaxy Z Flip.

Samsung has recently succeeded in selling the first full stage of the Galaxy Z Flip phone on the Internet, so markets are awaiting the launch of the second stage of the phone, while Samsung confirmed that the phone is already available in some retail stores, even with the difficulties faced by many users to obtain the phone.

Projections indicate that the industrial facilities in the South Korean market are facing some difficulties during the coming period, with the spread of Coronavirus and the increase in the number of infected cases in the recent period.

It is noteworthy that the outbreak of the Coronavirus led to the cancellation of the activities of the MWC 2020 exhibition, so the virus is still clearly affecting the smartphone market in the recent period.
