Warnings of Mandrake malware on Android

The famous security company BitDefender announced the monitoring of the Mandrake malware on Android devices, knowing that this malware is not a recent occurrence, but was first discovered years ago from now, which reopens the discussion about the severity of the malware in the Android environment.

And the malicious software Mandrake was detected for the first time in the year 2016, but the activity of this software, in the beginning, was limited in the state of Australia, but the security company BitDefender again monitored the emergence of this software, but this time at the global level, especially in the countries of North America and Europe, where malware enables hackers to spy on users remotely.

According to BitDefender, Mandrake malware remains inactive for a long time after it infiltrates the user's device, before it is directly activated by the hackers, to do so by collecting and accessing important user data, such as contacts, text messages, and phone resources And pictures, videos, bank data, the user's geographic location, get pictures of the screen and send all this information to the hackers.

BitDefender says that this malware is not widely spread but rather targeted, meaning that hackers direct it to specific people which means that Mandrake may be used for espionage purposes.
